BARACK OBAMA: HOPE THAT WILL NOT FAIL

Obamamania has taken us all up and the question that remains on the minds of many is "will an Obama Presidency really work ?" what ought to be prominent on our minds since the day Obama declared his intention to run for president was that things have changed. The tactics and the strategies of yesterday will not be effective to in proffering a solution to today's challenges. There is a need for drastic changes that only a departure from the norms can bring about. The promise of the Obama Candidacy is not just for a change but a new way of doing things that would adequately minister to the needs of the populace. Like he said in his historic speech when accepting the democratic party's nomination that “it is not about the white house bringing change to the people but it is about the people bringing change to the white house.” And that is what we will see happen today as millions of people will take their collective destinies into their hands to make sure that the needed change comes to the white house. Barak Obama as a person resonates the ideals of the Conceptual age leader as perpetuated by Daniel pink in his book (A whole new mind). Leadership in these times will be driven by those with the attributes a conceptual age leader exhibits. As can be seen in everything Obama, right from the man to the campaign this attributes pour forth like torrential rains. Attributes like empathy, symphony, play etc. that keeps endearing us to the man Obama.

Politically some may ask will he accomplish any thing great but I confront them with this question. What does America and the world stand to gain from a McCain Presidency? If George Bush could perform as woefully as he has done till date then I strongly believe that Barack Obama has what it takes to be successful as a President. Everything rises and falls on leadership and in these times America needs a leader who can stir the collective will of the populace towards achieving the dreams and ideals of America. This a task only Obama and not McCain can accomplish. It must be noted that Obama really has it and McCain doesn't. An Obama Presidency is more about the timing thereof than about a black guy driven by media hype to the presidency. The timing for Obama was just right, American's needed a change they where begging for it, even yelling for it, the world was craving for it, and Obama understanding the times and the seasons heeded the call of a nation hungry for a change.

Barack Obama "CHANGE WE NEED."
